My Journey

This picture is really hard for me to post but here goes nothing. The right is a picture of me at my heaviest a little over 3 years ago. I was 205 lbs. I remember the weight exactly because I was so devastated that I had let myself go so far. I was never "skinny" I always had a little belly on me even while I was so active with dance and cheerleading and gymnastics but I contribute that to the fact that I ate horribly. I'm talking Wendy's and McDonald's every night. That was my point where I knew I had to do something. The picture on the left is today post-workout. I know the struggle of feeling like that weight will never come off so why should I bother working out. I know that feeling of frustration with all the "quick fix" diets and diet pills because I have tried them. I'm going to be flat out honest, that shit does NOT work. Even if it does work, it works for the short term and a few months later your back in the exact same boat your were before. I know. I have been there. I needed something for the long term and that is where I got into working out consistently and drinking my super food. Every. Single. Day.
If I can do it, you can do it. I know the busy life, but even being busy, it is possible. You can do it.

See the Beauty

Not every path we go down is going to have flowers and waterfalls to look at. A lot of the time, it's just the trees and overgrown grass to view. But even so the path is still beautiful. The path you choose , fitness or otherwise, doesn't always show how beautiful it can be. Most of the time it looks messy and ugly. Choosing to see the beauty in it makes the difference in the process .

Decide, Commit, Succeed

Good evening all!! So, I have another fitness accountability group start on Sept 8th. Perfect timing to get back on track after the holiday weekend. I am really excited to work with the amazing people that have committed so far. That being said, I have 4 spots left to fill for the group. Those four lucky people will also get a copy of Fixate. Fixate is a really great cookbook designed by Autumn Calabrese, the mind behind 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme. The recipes are so delicious, and they play along with my new gluten free lifestyle which makes this book that much better. The deadline to sign up and be able to get your stuff in time is tomorrow. So, fill out the form below, and start your new beginning today!

Making a New Lifestyle Change

As I have said before I am in nursing school and with that I have made a small group of friends. One of which has a severe allergy to gluten. Now I didn't realize how serious gluten allergies can be for people. I honestly thought that it was another fad diet thing. So, while talking to my friend I actually started to understand how serious gluten can be for people and how severe her reaction to anything gluten is. I have also done some digging and what I have found is that gluten is found in some grains. People with gluten allergies or trying out a gluten free lifestyle are to stay away from barley, rye, triticale, wheat products, along with beer, breads pasta, cereals, french fries, salad dressings, sauces, etc. unless otherwise specified as "gluten-free". AND if that wasn't enough they also have to worry about cross-contamination. Basically if anything touches gluten or is made on the same machines that gluten products are made, they cannot have it. Amazing right??? It seems like so much stuff is not aloud. I have been inspired to try and go gluten free. I am so interested in seeing if I can be careful about purchasing products that are gluten free and sticking with it. I am excited, and a little scared because it is going to be a big change. But hey, anything worth having is never that easy. I think this is going to be an interesting experiment for myself. To kick off my gluten free change, this is one of the many gluten free recipes I am going to make. :)

This was sooo good. Green peppers stuffed with quiona, onion, chicken, corn, and black beans.

Opportunity Knocks

During my fitness journey, stumbling across beach body and their programs, I have had so many struggles along the way. I have fallen off the wagon, so to speak. I have stopped for months on end, gained a little weight back. I have enjoyed numerous fast food meals and then felt so guilty about it after because I am supposed to be trying to live healthy, and it just leads into a vicious cycle that never seems to end. So finally after a long process of falling off and getting back on the fitness wheel, I had enough and decided to go all in or nothing. I needed to make a change and stick with it, if not for me then for my boys. I want to set a good example for them. I want to show them that living a healthy lifestyle is important for so many reasons. I finally stuck with my programs, continued my super food shake, and got the results that I wanted. Granite I am still far from where I want to be but I am making my way.
Along comes this girl whom I had never met before and tells me that I could take my story and my journey and use it to inspire others AND gain financial freedom for myself. I had no idea that this opportunity even existed and honestly talking to other people freaks me out. I am very shy and had no idea if I could inspire others to invest in their health and make a complete lifestyle change. After debating for a few days, I decided why not? I have nothing to lose.  And I figured if it can really gain a little stability from doing something that I already love doing then I can give it a shot.
I am a full time mom, a full time college student, a full time CNA and I am still struggling to make ends meet and gain some relief of the bills that just seem to keep piling a mile high. I am sure I am not alone there. BUT, in the short amount of time that I have signed up to be a beach body coach I have made some extra income that has given me a step in the direction of relief I have been seeking. I have been able to take a few extra days off of work and not worry about how I am going to get food and pay bills. I am earning time with my kids and I love that I have the freedom to do that. I am working with a business that allows me to be my own boss and work my own hours from home. Plus, I get to meet some fantastic and amazing women and men and help them achieve their fitness goals and more.
So, I ask if I can do it, why not you? Our amazing team is going to have an information call tomorrow evening (August, 24, 2015) at 7:00 pm central; 8:00 pm eastern to shed some light on this amazing opportunity, how it works, how to get started, how much it costs, and time investment. Fill out the application and I will contact you with information and a link to our call.!
Hope to see you there :)

Got This

Hard work and dedication and good nutrition gets results. There is no quick fix, there is no magic pill. It takes time, patients, sweat, balanced diet, and hard work. Trust the process. You'll get there. Don't let there be excuses stopping you. Today's world is so fast pace at times it's hard to keep up. We are all so busy it gives us an excuse to get out of doing stuff, like exercise. To that I say, I am a full time mom, a full time night shift employee, and a full time NURSING student (I cap nursing because nursing school is unlike anything else and only other nurses and nursing students get it, and I felt it needed to be stressed) and I still make the time to get my exercise in. No I don't "find" time , I make time. So, why not you?? Fill out 👉🏻https://fitskittles.wufoo.com/forms/z7xje5y10jmrsd/ 😊😊 and join me in getting your fit on through this roller coaster called life.
